Dear Auditorium Choir Friends:
The Summer season is upon us! Once again, we will gather to sing our praises together in the Great Auditorium. This summer, take the opportunity to ask a friend to join us for a Sunday service, the Choir Festival, the Masterworks/Sacred Concert, or the entire season. New singers, and returning singers, are always welcome!
The current Summer 2026 Choir Calendar is attached - post it in a convenient place, so you don't miss anything (hard copies of the calendar will also be available at rehearsals). Highlights include:
Choir Opening Activities:
- Friday June 5 at 7 pm - Summer Preview Rehearsal and Welcome Back Fellowship.
- This event will take place in the Community Room
- Cindy Bell will preview Sunday Worship anthems for the summer. Jason Tramm will also lead us and Tom Molessa will be on the piano.
Friday June 12 at 7 pm - Weekly Friday choir rehearsals begin in the Great Auditorium
Sunday June 14 at 9 am - Great Auditorium. Weekly Sunday rehearsals & services begin
- Tuesday June 23 at 7 pm - Weekly Tuesday choir rehearsals begin in the Great Auditorium

- Please note: This summer, Sunday anthems will be rehearsed from 7:00-7:30 pm on both Tuesdays & Fridays, in the Auditorium and by zoom. Please attend when you are able, based on your own schedule or conflicts. The multiple rehearsals are provided to allow increased opportunities for everyone to be more familiar with the worship anthems prior to meeting on Sunday morning.
Saturday July 4 - Independence Day Parade - Join us to sing as we march, carry a banner, give out candy, or ride our float. This day is always a joy!
Choir Festival Saturday July 18 - As always, the Choir Library will provide anthems for the Festival to regular Choir members, to be returned after the Festival. For those who wish to purchase their own music, or those singing with us for the Festival only, ordering information is available at oceangrove.org/festival-details or by contacting Lōser's Music directly at losers@lmf.net. Click on the "Ocean Grove 2026" link in the orange menu bar at the top of the page. Or call Lōser's at 717-272-0381.
- Choir Opportunities:

We are seeking a new Bass section manager to assist with seating in the choir loft at rehearsals. For information or to volunteer, please contact Derek Parish or myself.
- We are also seeking returning and new volunteers to greet Choir Festival singers on Tuesdays and Fridays, while the Auditorium Choir is rehearsing Sunday anthems from 7 - 7:30 pm. An ideal volunteer would be someone who is singing for the Festival but does not sing on Sunday mornings OR a non-Choir member (including spouse, friend or adult child of choir members) volunteering as a friend of the choir. The commitment is limited and is so helpful in assuring that everyone who joins us for the 7:30 pm rehearsal feels welcome. - Donation Opportunities:

The Auditorium Choir strongly believes that all singers are welcome and therefore does not request that members pay dues. However, the Choir does incur expenses, which are funded by donations from Choir members. It is noted that offerings collected at services, including the Choir Festival, provide for OGCMA expenses, such as music staff salaries, but do not pay other general purpose choir expenses, such as our weekly Sunday breakfast and activities which act as outreach to new choir members.

The Choir receives donations from the donation baskets provided at each rehearsal; donations can also be sent directly to OGCMA or given to our Choir Treasurer, MaryBeth Rible. In all cases, donations can be made in cash or by check made out to OGCMA with "Choir" noted on the memo line.

Individuals who wish to designate their donations to the Choir for a special purpose, such as funding and dedicating a new anthem or supporting the Sunday breakfast may speak with myself or MaryBeth Rible for more information.

- Finally, while donations to the Auditorium Choir are gratefully accepted, they are not required and all are encouraged and welcomed to join us in fellowship and worship of the Lord.
